Folks, apparently some of us need to be worried about over-performing at our respective jobs.

After four blowout wins, La Joya Community High School head coach Devin Dourisseau stepped down from his position due to lack of support from those above him. In fact, Dourisseau told AZ Central that he was in danger of losing his job during a game if he scored another point after already being up 30-0.

There's definitely a sportsmanship element to this, but it can't all be just that. The last game that Dourisseau coach for the team was a 60-0 victory. At that point, the school may have to just evaluate the surrounding competition or the team's division if they're just blowing every opponent out of the water. If he kept all of his starters in and continued to ring it up that high, that's a different story.

Although, an opposing head coach didn't take running up the score personally, and shook it off by saying that that's what happens when you don't bring your A-game.

It's not like the guy was running dangerous practice drills. He was simply winning games handily.

All we know at this point is Dourisseau would be a great fit in the NCAA because he apparently has a knack for running up the score.
