USWNT Superstar Alex Morgan Announces Birth of Baby Daughter and Shares First Photo
By Sam Dunn

In so many ways, life is on hold as we trudge through the new normal that is the global coronavirus shutdown. Luckily, nothing will ever, ever stop the onward march of life itself -- or protect us from the overwhelming cuteness deluge that US Women's National Team icon Alex Morgan just foisted upon us with one big annoucement.
The celebrated striker gave birth on Thursday morning to a daughter, her first child. Welcome to the world, Charlie Elena Carrasco!
At 1130am on May 7 weighing 8lbs5oz, Charlie Elena Carrasco made her grand entrance into the world. She made us wait longer than expected, but I should have known she would do it her way and her way only. My super moon baby. pic.twitter.com/dDbIXW6INr

There aren't enough emojis in the world to express how adorable this sight truly is.
Morgan, who plays at the club level for the NWSL's Orlando Pride, has been married to MLS midfielder Servando Carrasco since 2014. The baby was expected due in April, but sometimes, the referee adds a few minutes added to the end of the 90, you know?
Morgan, an absolute goal machine for club and country, has conquered every obstacle she's ever come across in her professional career, so we fully expect the same gusto when it comes to motherhood. With a staggering 107 goals for the Stars and Stripes to go along with an Olympic gold medal and two World Cup titles, there just ain't a thing that's ever going to stand in her way.
