Alabama Commit Lands 5-Star Ranking in Latest 247Sports Update

Alabama doesn't miss often in recruiting, and Drew Sanders is no exception. Sanders has another year of high school to go before he takes his talents to Alabama, but he's already earning some high praise.
The Crimson Tide commit earned the designation of 5-star recruit from 247Sports, landing him as the 13th-ranked prospect in his class.

Sanders is currently position-less, instead being designated as an "ATH" (or athlete), meaning that he's simply a highly-gifted athlete who could fit multiple roles depending on team need as he enters college. At 6-5, 232 pounds, he projects well at a myriad of positions, and he has playing experience nearly everywhere on the field. Sanders is expected to play outside linebacker at Alabama, but he could conceivably also line up at tight end and will be an extremely flexible piece.
The Denton, TX product runs a 4.65 40-yard dash, which at his age and size are truly remarkable and should bode well for his versatility at the college level.
#rolltide Drew Sanders jumps up from 16 to 13 in 247 standard. @Drew_16Sanders will likely finish top 10 around 5-7. Dude is a FREAK.

Sanders flipped his commitment from Oklahoma to Alabama last April, and based on his recruiting profile, Nick Saban is surely chomping at the bit to get him to Tuscaloosa.
