The Yankees Double-A affiliate Trenton Thunder are known for using a bat dog during their home games. It looks like their pup got a promotion to the big leagues in advance of Tuesday's game, and the players were loving every second of it.

Rookie, the current Thunder bat dog, was hanging out with star sluggers Aaron Judge and Gleyber Torres before the Yankees home game against the AL East rival Tampa Bay Rays.

The Thunder have a history of bat dogs, dating back to 2000 when Chase took the field for the team. Each of the three dogs--Chase, Derby and Rookie--are all related Golden Retrievers.

This good boy has been manning the circle in Trenton since 2014, picking up bats and entertaining the fans. As a fan who's attending his fair share of Thunder games, I can tell you Rookie is unmatched in his entertainment value.

But clearly, it's not just fans who are entertained by the talented Rookie. Even the All-Stars can't get enough of the organization's favorite pup.
