3 Players Besides Kelly Bryant Reportedly Might Not Get Clemson National Championship Rings Either
By Charles Nason

This week, controversy stirred over Clemson football head coach Dabo Swinney stating that now-Missouri starting QB Kelly Bryant wouldn't receive a National Championship ring.
Now, there's more being added to the madness. Apparently, according to an NCAA bylaw, three other players aren't eligible to receive rings either. The reason behind their eligibility issue is a substance test they failed, keeping them out of the title game against Alabama.

Braden Galloway and Zach Giella are both suspended for the upcoming season due to testing positive for ostarine, which they claimed was incorporated in a substance issued by Clemson. Giants' first-round pick Dexter Lawrence was the third player that tested positive for the banned substance.

The bylaw states that in order to receive the hardware for winning a conference or national championship, those players must be eligible to participate in that matchup.
Bryant, along with these three other players, aren't awarded whatsoever for their efforts to bring Clemson to the national title. While Bryant has made it clear that he doesn't care about the ring now that he's with Missouri, Lawrence, Galloway and Giella are having their rings withheld for an absolutely bogus reason.
Why the NCAA feels the need to diminish the efforts of these players is beyond reasoning.
The NCAA, and somewhat Clemson now, continue to find new ways to make themselves the villain.
