The Philadelphia 76ers have been stuck in that "good-not-great" zone for most of the season. They just haven't been able to make that leap into the NBA's class of elite teams, despite boasting one of the most talented rosters in the league.

In all likelihood, they won't be able to get the job done this year, so they need to seriously consider some of these bold moves come the offseason.

3. Firing Brett Brown

Brett Brown has done a superb job piloting the 76ers from the doldrums of tanking to perennial playoff contention, but it's becoming increasingly obvious that the team needs a change of pace. His team has lost in the second round of the playoffs two years in a row now, and a third early exit should be the final nail in the coffin for his tenure.

2. Trading Al Horford

The 76ers' marquee offseason acquisition just isn't a good fit in the frontcourt alongside Joel Embiid. Al Horford's time in Philly has been a disaster, with the big man struggling to acclimate to his new surroundings. Averaging 11.7 points and 6.6 rebounds, Horford appears to be a shadow of the player he was in Boston and Atlanta. His decline isn't due to a decrease in talent, he just simply hasn't been able to fill a meaningful role on the Sixers. Offloading him to a better situation could be beneficial for both sides.

1. Trading Joel Embiid

Joel Embiid is incredibly talented, that goes without saying, but he has struggled with injuries throughout his career and has failed to lead the Sixers to a deep playoff run. There have been talks that the tandem of Embiid and Simmons won't ever be able to win an NBA Finals in Philly, and that could lead to the organization looking to offload the big man. It would certainly be a tough pill to swallow, but it's an avenue the 76ers must consider in order to win a championship.
