Yu Darvish Repeatedly Owns Clowns Trying to Question His Pitch Selection

Yu Darvish had a rough outing against the San Francisco Giants on Wednesday, allowing seven runs while pitching into the sixth inning. However, he's not going to tolerate any sass on his timeline. The Chicago Cubs starter absolutely bodied the clowns who were questioning his pitch selection in his team's eventual 12-11 win.

Darvish allowed three home runs on two-strike counts during the game, all of which came off of off-speed pitches. Naturally, his pitch selection came into question.

But the 33-year-old veteran knows what he's doing. He busted out his splits against lefty batters with two-strikes, proving that he was more than justified in throwing off-speed to try and put the batters away.

He's not one to take commentary from the peanut gallery either. Even with random Twitter users trying to lecture him on the game, he stood by the numbers.

Darvish clearly trusts both his stuff and the numbers that go with it, and there's no reason that he shouldn't. As he says, why bother trying to mix things up when he's having success with the current formula?

Besides, he's got 15 years of pitching experience in professional baseball under his belt. Darvish has no need to be lectured on his pitch selection by random Twitter users when he's been more than successful on the bump in his career.

Maybe the people trying to teach him how to pitch would be better off letting the man do his work as he sees fit.
