The Houston Astros have brought Major League Baseball the attention its longed for, but in terrible circumstances. Houston players weren't handed any form of a punishment due to commissioner Rob Manfred granting them immunity for cooperating in its sign-stealing investigation.

That fact alone got players miffed and bothered, and rightfully so. One of the latest stars to swipe back at the Astros is Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Yu Darvish. The former Los Angeles Dodger said the Astros should've been stripped of their 2017 World Series title due to using illegal methods to steal pitching signs, citing that the Olympics strips athletes of medals if they're caught cheating.

Of course, one delusional Astros fan took to Twitter to boast about still remaining 2017 champions by commenting with a picture of the Commissioner's Trophy. Darvish saw this, and put this member of the "Astros Did Nothing Wrong Cult" in a body bag.

You can definitely store some garbage in that trophy.

The right-handed pitcher brings up a valid point. An Olympic athlete will have their medals and records taken away from them if they fail a drug test or find any way to gain an unfair advantage.

Yet, commissioner Rob Manfred doesn't believe in that. He feels that the public criticism the Astros are facing is punishment enough. But players who try to retaliate against the squad is going to be disciplined more severely than the Astros did for cheating.

Darvish was once vilified by baseball fans back in 2017 for losing Game 7 of that year's World Series. Now that the Astros were proven to be stealing signs that year, Darvish has received apologies from his previous critics.

Stripping the Astros of the World Series is a logical choice, but leave it to Manfred to botch the whole thing.
