Yankees waiting on Gerrit Cole's injury status

For the New York Yankees, all eyes are on Gerrit Cole right now. The star pitcher left his start on Tuesday night with hamstring tightness, which of course sent panic alarms all over the Bronx.
On Wednesday, manager Aaron Boone came out and said that Cole didn't undergo an MRI. With that said, his status is still a bit up in the air and the team will know more in a day or two.
Gerrit Cole is "doing pretty well" with his hamstring but the #Yankees don't have more of an update, Aaron Boone says. Cole didn't get an MRI.

Boone says they'll know more in the next 24 to 48 hours. They continue to feel "encouraged" though.
The fact that the Yankees feel encouraged is a good thing. The absolute last thing this team needs is for the ace to miss significant time and not be able to start once the postseason arrives. Stay tuned, NY fans.
