Yankees Lineup

DJ LeMahieu leads things off for the Bombers, followed by the formidable heart of the lineup featuring Aaron Judge, Gary Sánchez, Aaron Hicks, Gleyber Torres and Didi Gregorius. The order is rounded out by Gio Urshela, Brett Gardner and Domingo Germán.

Zack Wheeler held the heavy hitting Yankees to just two runs last night as he shut them down. The Yankees sluggers will want to prevent that tonight as they try and get back to their winning ways. LeMahieu has been the Yankees most consistent hitter this season coming up big with runners in scoring position while hitting .341 on the season.

On the bump for the Yankees will be Germán. The Yankees righty last started on June 7 due to a hip flexor injury that landed him on the IL. German is 9-2 with a 3.86 ERA and was just activated from the injured list ahead of tonight's clash.

Mets Lineup

Jeff McNeil leads off for the Mets and plays right field. Pete Alonso is batting second, followed by Robbie Canó and Michael Conforto. Todd Frazier is in the five-hole, ahead of Dominic Smith and Wilson Ramos. Amed Rosario and Jason Vargas.

McNeil continues to lead the Mets offense in hitting with adding two more hits to his season total last night. The rookie phenom sports a batting average of .351 and an OPS of .922 and has been a bright spot for a dismal season for the Mets.

Toeing the rubber for the Mets will be the veteran Vargas. The lefty has gone 11 straight outings allowing fewer than three runs while recording a 2.55 ERA in that stretch. Vargas is 3-3 on the season and owns a 3.66 ERA. He's looking to shake off the recent turmoil stemming from the clubhouse incident involving Newsday's Tim Healey.
