Yankees trade for Joey Gallo could save their season

New York Yankees fans were hoping for the team to pull off some kind of a trade before the deadline arrived, and they've done so with a bang. On Thursday night, the Yankees made a move to acquire stud outfiedler Joey Gallo from the Rangers.
This was a move the team desperately needed to make. Now, fans have reason to believe the club can push for a postseason berth.
The New York Yankees today announced that they have acquired INF/OF Joey Gallo, LHP Joely Rodriguez and cash considerations from the Texas Rangers in exchange for minor league right-handed pitcher Glenn Otto and infielders Ezequiel Duran, Trevor Hauver and Josh Smith.

The veteran outfielder is in the middle of a great year. The All-Star OF has 25 homers and 55 RBI to his name thus far in 2021. We'll see what he'll be able to get done in the Bronx.
