The New York Yankees have reached a rough patch of the season, losing seven of their last 10 games, but help very well could be on the way.

On Friday, the Yankees have transferred the rehab assignment for outfielder Giancarlo Stanton from Single-A Tampa to Triple-A Scranton, as well as assigning outfielder Aaron Judge to Triple-A Scranton to begin his rehab assignment.

Both stars will play tonight for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre against the Durham Bulls. Stanton is already in the midst of his rehab assignment, so the move up to Triple-A makes you believe he's close to returning to the Bronx. According to manager Aaron Boone, Stanton could be activated as soon as Tuesday against Tampa Bay.

Judge is just beginning his rehab assignment, so it'll take him a little longer to get back to the big leagues. However, today's news is encouraging. if all goes well, he could return during the team's upcoming homestand.

Judge has been out since April 20 with an oblique injury, while Stanton only played in three regular season games before going on the shelf with a shoulder injury.

Both Judge and Stanton will be welcomed back with open arms. This Yankees team has done a great job filling the void in their absence, but it has become clear they need both big bats to win the division and to make a run come October.
