Yankees Pull Edwin Encarnacion From Thursday’s Game and Check His Wrist
By Parker White

Edwin Encarnacion has been one of New York's best players once again in the current Detroit series, as he belted yet another two-run shot in the third inning to extend the team's lead.
The return of his power is a great sign, and something for Yankee fans to theoretically cheer about, but he was then pinch-hit for by Mike Ford in the seventh inning, after walking in his previous at-bat.

Ford has had plenty of great moments this year, but what's the problem with Eddy?
Well, Encarnacion did have his wrist looked at in the fifth inning following his walk, in a move most Yankee fans hope was highly precautionary.
Encarnacion had his wrist looked at after his fifth-inning walk. Could be precautionary at this point, but stay tuned. https://t.co/OO6wgIm19E

Encarnacion, of course, went on the injured list in early August with a wrist fracture.
Of course, with their luck this season, it'll probably keep him out for a bit.
With just a few weeks left in the season, the Yankees can't afford to lose another guy, as there just isn't a lot of time left for players to heal and get back on the field before October.
