Already down Luis Severino for the entire season thanks to Tommy John Surgery, the New York Yankees now face the possibility of starting the season without superstar right fielder Aaron Judge, who is still recovering from a shoulder injury.

General manager Brian Cashman claimed that Judge, who has yet to play in Spring Training, is indeed "responding well" to treatment, but the 6-7 right fielder will still have to undergo a "battery" of tests before he returns.

Manager Aaron Boone also said that he had a nice conversation with Judge, who has missed over 100 games total the last two seasons, and likes where he's at in his recovery. He claims that Judge, Giancarlo Stanton, and James Paxton are all going to return from injuries sooner rather than later.

However, Cashman threw a bit of cold water on those sentiments, saying that he doesn't think Judge or Stanton will play on Opening Day.

The Yankees might start the year off without a few of their heavy hitters in the lineup, but Boone's injury update made it sound as if both Judge and Stanton won't be out of commission for too long, which is honestly the best news New York fans have heard all offseason.
