Yankees Officially Activate Aaron Judge From Injured List

We all saw this coming after Aaron Judge ended his rehab assignment on Wednesday, but now it's official: the New York Yankees have activated outfielder Aaron Judge from the injured list on Friday. He'll be in the starting lineup this very night against the Houston Astros.

Judge's activation comes on the heels of the team optioning left-handed pitcher Nestor Cortes to Triple-A to make room on the active roster.

It's been two months since Judge went down with an oblique injury, which halted another dominant season by the Yankee outfielder, who was slashing .288/.404/.521 with five home runs and 11 RBI through 20 games.

When Judge went down, the Yankees were a .500 team. Well, the "other guys" have picked up the slack, and now they are 20 games above .500 and in first place in the AL East.

New York isn't just getting Judge back to augment this lineup; they just acquired Edwin Encarnacion, and Giancarlo Stanton was also activated from the IL this week. This trio alone could make this the most dangerous middle-of-the-order in baseball.

No pressure.
