A small portion of New York Yankees fans have dedicated themselves wholeheartedly to ripping slugging outfielder Giancarlo Stanton for not walking on water when he arrived in New York. Those fans have since turned their focus toward his health, as Stanton has been criticized for missing almost the entire season. Who would have thought that one of the ringleaders of this anti-Stanton circus was another legendary home run hitter in Reggie Jackson?

Mr. October was caught using some profanity when he heard that Stanton, who missed most of the 2019 season with injuries, was going to miss Game 2 of the ALCS against the Houston Astros due to a quad injury.

In light of a wave of negative backlash, Jackson quickly got in touch with Stanton, who homered in Game 1 of the ALCS, and apologized.

"I almost choked when they said they were live," Jackson said. "I immediately spoke to [Yankees PR head] Jason Zillo and he advised I go in and talk to Stanton, which I did. He graciously accepted my faux pas.’’

Stanton hitting balls to the moon when he returns to the lineup would be some pretty sweet poetic justice to silence Jackson and other critics.
