Gary Sanchez's nightmare Spring Training is set to continue, and his latest illness has a small chance of being the harbinger of something much more serious.

Sanchez is currently being looked at by a doctor after coming down with a slight fever. A Yankees spokesman said that the team is still weighing if they should test Sanchez for coronavirus, which has over 750 confirmed in the United States.

Some of the main symptoms of coronavirus include a heavy fever, a strong cough, weakness, and a shortness of breath. If Sanchez is showing any of these, it's best to err on the side of caution and test him anyway.

Sanchez has struggled mightily this spring, registering just one hit across 17 at-bats. On top of this fever scare, a sore lower back appeared to be inhibiting his ability to make produce.

It's not the start El Gary wanted, especially after his injury-shortened 2019 that featured some disastrous defense, so fans can only hope he's not dealing with a serious illness that will set him back even further.
