After falling to the Houston Astros in six games during the ALCS, Aaron Judge coined the 2019 season for the New York Yankees a failure, despite what general manager Brian Cashman might think.

Sure, the 27-year-old superstar might have labeled this campaign World Series or bust for the Pinstripes, but that doesn't mean he can't be rewarded a little bit of hardware for his valiant efforts.

On Wednesday evening, Wilson announced their annual awards, and they named No. 99 the Defensive Player of the Year in Right Field.

Most baseball fans, even Yankees cynics, can agree that this is nothing less than Judge deserves. From casually robbing home runs, to making insane diving catches on line drives hit in front of him, to nonchalantly logging outfield assists, the two-time All-Star's fielding prowess is almost as scintillating as him with the bat in his hands.

Judge recorded seven outfield assists in 2019, which ranked third among American League right fielders, despite only starting 90 games in the field.

You could argue that Judge deserved a Gold Glove Award for his play in right field this season, but with so many candidates -- Mookie Betts (this year's winner), Kole Calhoun, and Josh Reddick, among others -- the former Rookie of the Year should feel honored to walk away with this award from Wilson.
