When will the suffering for Yankees fans end? While you old timers might be shaking your heads at this team and ‘suffering’ being mentioned in the same sentence because of the 27 World Series titles the franchise has brought home to the Bronx, things have been rocky of late.

The latest migraine for everyone who adores pinstripes is the injury update on Aaron Judge. While it’s still up in the air just what in the heck is wrong with the giant slugger, he’s expected to miss Opening Day.

With the way things have gone against New York when it comes to injuries, the loyal supporters need to brace themselves for the worst. Seriously, don’t be surprised when Aaron Boone comes out and announces Judge will be out for an extended period of time, especially after he's undergone around 10 rounds of testing on his right pec.

Kiss a dream season goodbye. If you’re expecting a new-born baby and preordered a ‘This Baby Was Born a Yankee’ t-shirt, flip the house upside down for the receipt and see if you can exchange it for a different team.

In all seriousness, are these guys cursed? While we’re talking about Judge here, everyone knows about Giancarlo Stanton, who has been battling injuries left and right ever since NY acquired him from Miami. He’s also set to miss the start of the season due to a calf injury. Gerrit Cole is battling a sickness, andJames Paxton is dinged up? Give us a break.

Right at the start of Spring Training, it was announced Luis Severino would miss some time due to elbow soreness. That’s since been escalated to him needing Tommy John Surgery, ending his season before we knew it, even after two clean MRIs. Ugh.

While we wait for Boone and Brian Cashman to update us on Judge’s status, that knot you feel in your stomach is there for a reason. There’s concern this won’t be a 7-to-10 day ailment. Could it be a torn pec? Could it be an injury that will keep him in the clubhouse for a couple of months, or more? Are we waiting on another dye-contrast MRI, which revealed the extent of Severino's ailment?

At this point, with the lack of luck for the Bronx Bombers, don’t be surprised when the devastating news arrives.
