VIDEO: Interviewing Players While They Sign Autographs After Getting Ejected is Pure XFL Brilliance
By Michael Luciano

The XFL is worth tuning into every week for the increasingly funny sideline antics just as much as it's worth it for the quality of football on the field. Houston Roughnecks linebacker and former Ole Miss star DeMarquis Gates was ejected from his team's win against the Seattle Dragons on Saturday, but that didn't stop ESPN's Dianna Russini from sticking a microphone in his face to get his thoughts on what just went down... all while he signed autographs for fans.

You can't beat this kind of spectacle. You just can't.
Gates was ejected for his role in a melee that was started after Houston recovered a fumble, during which he was seen throwing a punch.
The Roughnecks rode another tremendous day through the air from quarterback PJ Walker as they took down the underdog Dragons 32-23 in a game that was marred by some controversy in the last few seconds after the game was called with two seconds left on the clock in a one-score game.

The XFL's uniqueness is still as charming to see on display in Week 5 as it was in Week 1. Credit to Russini, who continues to get the most interesting scoops of any football sideline reporter week in and week out.
