WNBA Star Angel McCoughtry Gives Her Phone Number to Fans to Help Her Make Free Agency Decision
By Thomas Carannante

We could quite possibly be witnessing the WNBA pioneering a new trend.
With free agency underway in the world of women's basketball, Angel McCoughtry, who has been with the Atlanta Dream since 2009, is hitting the open market. She's pretty conflicted in making her decision of whether to return to the franchise that drafted her or start anew somewhere else.
In order to help narrow down her choices, she is asking for help from her fans ... by giving them her phone number so they can text her their thoughts.

Talk about a game changer. Couldn't athletes across ALL sports use some advice from their fans? We know a lot of the responses could very well be toxic, but these popular figures definitely know what words to take into consideration.
After all, if a guy like Le'Veon Bell did this last offseason, don't you think enough fans would've convinced him that going to the Jets was the absolute worst move he could possibly make?
10 hours into free agency, one of the best wnba players on the market is asking fans to text her which team she should sign with

One can only hope this becomes a trend because fans are ALWAYS in tune to free agency and typically want to see players end up in the right scenarios. Some thoughtful insight from knowledgeable couch potatoes could go a long way for some of these athletes. Hopefully McCoughtry gets the assistance she needs.
