The 2019 season for Willie Taggart and Florida State looks like a carbon copy of the disappointing 2018 campaign that saw their famous bowl game streak snapped.

They even had the benefit of a neutral site game against freshman quarterback Hank Bachmeier being moved to their home turf, but still managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory and fall 36-31 to the Broncos.

Taggart offered a truly puzzling explanation for the Seminoles' choke job against Bryan Harsin and company.

Huh? Playing in the heat and hydration is a problem?

Does Taggart know that half of his team is from Florida and an even larger portion is from the South? And does he know they just got beat at home by a team from Idaho?

The one thing you don't want your coach to be is unaccountable and a blame-shifter, especially when they're coming off of a bad season. Since "offensive genius" doesn't describe Taggart, given what's happened over the last year or so, those two tags are perfect to describe a guy who has done nothing but disappoint in Tallahassee.
