After making the truly surprising decision to trade star receiver DeAndre Hopkins, Bill O'Brien and the Texans will be leaning on a few receivers to pick up the slack. Even after acquiring Brandin Cooks and Randall Cobb, Houston will need Will Fuller to pick up additional slack and become the best version of himself.

Fuller has definitely had some solid years in the NFL to date, accumulating over 500 yards three of his four seasons, and more than 45 receptions twice. However, Fuller needs to take the next step in his progression now that Hopkins is gone. In fact, he's an underrated pick to have a breakthrough season in Houston.

To realize that goal, Fuller will have to stay healthy for the full year, something he has never done to date. If the former first-round pick wants to progress into a star, staying on the field will be vital, and if he is able to play 16 games, he could assert himself as the new No. 1 option out wide for Houston due to all of his physical attributes, including his wicked downfield speed.

With multiple new receivers in the crew, Deshaun Watson will have to lean harder on Fuller, especially early on in the season when Cooks and Cobb are still getting up to speed in Bill O'Brien's offense. After posting his career best in receving yards last season, he's got every chance to set a new mark in 2020.

Even though Texans fans will be hurting for a while longer in light of trading a superstar like Hopkins, it may be a blessing in disguise in the long run. Fuller now has an opportunity to break out and turn into a star pass-catcher. He just has to will it into existence.
