A bizarre moment happened between Western Michigan and Louisville on Friday, and it resulted in a WMU slugger getting unjustly robbed of a home run. Logan Hudson clearly hit a dinger over the right field wall, however Louisville's outfielder happened to stumble upon a random baseball that was left on the field and hurriedly throw it back into the infield. Somehow, the umpires thought that the ball was live, resulting in Hudson being held to a triple.

This is something out of a comedy routine, not a college baseball game. The ball clearly went over the wall, and there's simply no excuse for a random baseball to be sitting in the outfield. This confusion should have been avoided entirely, yet the umpires' lack of caution allowed for this mishap to occur.

We're honestly not sure the right fielder was even aware he was using a decoy ball, but he got away with it in the end.
