Washington Radio Host Freaks Out Over Dwayne Haskins Buying a Bentley and Compares Him to RGIII
By Sean Facey

Dwayne Haskins celebrated his new NFL contract by getting himself some brand new wheels. There's nothing wrong with that, right?
The Washington Redskins' first-round pick used some of the money from his lucrative rookie contract to buy a Bentley. But one Washington Radio host, Eric Bickel, freaked out over the purchase and even compared Haskins to former Redskins' QB Robert Griffin III.
Welp that didn't last long. Washington DC radio host freaking out, calling it a major red flag that Dwayne Haskins is splurging on a Bentley before even throws a pass . Saying this reminds them of RGIIIhttps://t.co/bLBVVIiMwa

"It just hearkens me back to the RGIII era of the slogans and the logos," said Bickel. "It just gives you that feeling that this kid thinks he's already arrived...it's a red flag!"
Haskins has every right to purchase himself a new car with his rookie deal, and for Bickel to compare him to RGIII based off of a single purchase is a bit far-fetched.
Not to mention, the RGIII era in Washington, though tumultuous, featured a 10-6 season, the team's best record since 1991. He even led the team to the playoffs before suffering a serious injury. RGIII was phenomenal during his first two years in the league, and his downfall was primarily caused by injury, not lack of skill.

There are few comparisons to draw between Haskins and Griffin beyond their spending habits. Griffin lived his life outside the pocket, extending plays with his legs whereas Haskins is actually a ridiculously good passer and thrives in the pocket.
The rest of the Redskins' organization seems to have faith in their new gunslinger, and he was even allowed to don franchise icon Joe Theismann's No. 7 jersey.
Perhaps Bickel is just wary of the woes the Redskins have faced at the position in the past.
