Stefon Diggs spent five seasons with the Minnesota Vikings and went from being a fifth-round draft pick to among the best wide receivers in the NFL.

Ultimately, the relationship between Diggs and the Vikings soured, so the team sent him to the Buffalo Bills for a haul of draft capital in return. Diggs has used social media over the past year to stir up drama and cause Vikings fans to wonder if he wanted out, so when he thanked the Vikings and their fans in a long, heartfelt Instagram post, it's safe to say many were perplexed.

Skol Nation just know that I gave all my heart, soul and body every time I stepped on the field. Your chants, cheers and unyielding support was everything to me. Thank you! The past five years were truly an amazing experience. To say we made memories would be a huge understatement. The state of Minnesota and the entire Vikings organization will always hold a special place in my heart because it is where my NFL story began. To the entire Wilf family, I’d like to thank you, again, for believing enough in me to draft me. To my coaches and personnel staff, thank you for everything. I’ve learned so much from each of you about the game I love. To my teammates- -my brothers, thanks for the unending support. I’ll always have your backs!! Much Love Skol Nation!!!

That's a loooooong well thought out "thank you" to a team you seemingly couldn't stand to be with this past season despite registering career highs in reception yards (1,130) and yards per catch (17.9). The season prior? Career highs in targets, catches and touchdowns.

We're not sure where this all went down the tubes, but we're well past that point.

The receiver was in the team's future plans as he signed a five-year, $72 million extension in the summer of 2018. Whether it was frustration with Kirk Cousins, the play-calling or the coaching staff, it was clear Diggs wanted out. He got his wish and kept it classy by thanking the fans, so nobody can really complain. This could've been a lot messier and many are surely glad he took the high road despite how he may have really felt.

Bills fans are now hoping Josh Allen can keep the man happy in Buffalo.
