VIDEO: Yuli Gurriel Opens World Series Scoring With 2-Run Double and His Swing Made No Sense
By Scott Rogust

If you had Houston Astros first baseman Yuli Gurriel knocking in the first runs of the World Series in your pool, congratulations! After an easy first inning for Astros ace Gerrit Cole, Houston made Washington Nationals starter Max Scherzer work. With George Springer and Jose Altuve on second and third, Gurriel stepped up to the plate and knockd a double to left-center field to give the Astros a 2-0 lead with two outs.

Getting a hit off Scherzer is hard enough, but just look at Gurriel's swing. The pitch was high and inside, yet Gurriel was still able to hit the ball with the barrel of his bat, flopping it out there (much the same way he damaged Chad Green in ALCS Game 6).
How the fuck does Yuli keep driving the ball with this swing pic.twitter.com/E999RxnlAX

If you thought Gurriel's three-run homer in Game 6 of the ALCS was improbable, we present you his two-RBI double off "Mad Max."
