VIDEO: Watch Willson Contreras and Kris Bryant Demolish Home Runs for Cubs
By Michael Luciano

These Chicago Cubs do not fear Atlanta Braves starter Dallas Keuchel in the least. After carving up the Cubs lineup through 3.1 innings at Wrigley Field, Keuchel surrendered two moonshots to Willson Contreras and Kris Bryant. Contreras, in line to start for the NL at catcher in the 2019 All-Star Game, strengthened his case with a towering home run to get the Cubs on the board.

The Cubs cut the Braves lead to 5-1 on his 17th home run of the season.
Just an inning later, Kris Bryant followed suit with a bomb of his own. The Cubs clawed their way back into this game, as Bryant's 16th homer on the year made it a 5-2 lead for the visitors from Atlanta.

He’s the 5th Cub since 1990 to record multiple 20-game on-base streaks in the same season (Lee, Grace 4x, Sandberg, Dawson).#VoteBryant: https://t.co/fz5TvdSY5V pic.twitter.com/oz19cnxNAI
Even when Yu Darvish is getting knocked around the park, the Cubs have enough power in their lineup to erase any large deficit with a few swings of the bat. It's now 5-3 after a Jason Heyward RBI groundout.
