VIDEO: Watch Theo Epstein Introduce David Ross as New Cubs Manager
By Parker White

The Chicago Cubs moved on from Joe Maddon and wasted no time in finding his replacement. Yup, David Ross is officially the new skipper in town. Ross was a winner throughout his MLB career, and even though he'll be the lead voice in a clubhouse full of his former teammates, he commands respect and is ready for the challenge. The Cubs and president of baseball operations Theo Epstein introduced him to the media on Monday.
Theo Epstein: "If you're a front office and you want a puppet, you don't hire David Ross."

Even though Ross (also known as Grandpa Rossy) is a fun-loving guy, he's not afraid to have a back-and-forth with the front office if he believes he's correct. According to Epstein, Ross was far from a puppet when he was a player, and I'm sure that'll translate now that he's the head man in the clubhouse.
In case you missed it, you can watch the whole David Ross presser here. I REALLY hope this works out. Heard some good stuff in here, still have some doubts but hoping for the best. @Cubs Welcome David Ross as the new Chicago Cubs Manager! https://t.co/InUxRfEjA4

There are skeptics out there, but Epstein and Co. has full confidence in Ross.
