VIDEO: UNC's Dallas Tessar Sprints to Make Catch and Flips Himself Into Bullpen Against Auburn
By Zack Jiang

College baseball doesn't get as much national attention as its basketball and football counterparts, but the players are still playing their hearts out for their schools, looking for a shot at a trip to Omaha. UNC's Dallas Tessar showed unbelievable focus and toughness to a running catch against Auburn on Sunday. Just watch the dedication and commitment from the kid, who sent himself into the 'pen at the very last second.

To cover all that field, complete the catch, then smoothly flip over the wall is just too perfect. The crowd had to get excited for that one.
Tessar is currently a redshirt junior for the Tar Heels. He became a spark plug for the team in 2018, but eventually worked his way into a starter's role. Although he had been relegated back to the bench for much of this season, he has improved his play, increasing his batting average from .231 to .245, and starting all of Carolina's postseason contests.

Tessar has been a valuable player for UNC through both his play and leadership. And if he keeps making plays like the one he just made against Auburn, he'll have no trouble staying on the field.
