VIDEO: Umpire Pat Hoburg Claps Back at Andrew Benintendi Who Complained After Swinging at Strike 3

Andrew Benintendi has struggled at the plate in 2019, and after a strikeout against the Dodgers, he decided to air his grievances to home plate umpire Pat Hoburg. The only problem? Benintendi swung at the pitch he was complaining about. And Hoburg was not afraid to clap back at the young outfielder to remind him of that.

You can hear Hoburg respond to Benintendi saying, "That was on me? You're gonna blame that on me because you swung at that pitch?"
Benintendi clearly went around on that pitch, and his frustration got the better of him as he chirped at Hoburg, who swiftly shut him down.
While umpires have been getting loads of scrutiny this season, here's an example of one sticking up for himself and not dealing with a player's whining.
