By Thomas Carannante

College softball has been electrifying this year and that narrative continued with the conclusion of the season. The UCLA Bruins defeated the Oklahoma Sooners to win their first Women's College World Series since 2010 thanks to this walk-off RBI from Kinsley Washington.

Almost had her at the plate! What a finish!
But how did we get to that point? The Sooners trailed by one in the top half of the inning needing a miracle from slugger Shay Knighten as they were down to their last out. She delivered with a solo shot in the clutch.

If Oklahoma had pulled it off, that would've forced a do-or-die Game 3 for both squads, but the Bruins were able to end the night on time and continue steamrolling through the rest of the competition.
Congratulations to UCLA!
