VIDEO: Stephen Strasburg Absolutely Crushes Home Run to Extend Lead Over Braves

Washington Nationals ace Stephen Strasburg is doing a little bit of everything in his start against the Atlanta Braves on Thursday night. After holding the strong bats of the Braves to just one run through two innings, Strasburg stepped up to the plate to add a little cushion to his team's lead, smacking a three-run homer to extend the Nats' lead to seven.

You don't see pitchers go yard that often, but Strasburg isn't your average pitcher. He'd already recorded a hit prior to crushing this homer, so it's safe to say he's been Washington's MVP so far in this contest.

That homer marks Strasburg's fourth dinger of his career and also boosts his career RBI total to 23.

The Nats are pouring it on the Braves with an 8-1 lead in the third. If Strasburg continues to throw heat and provide some offense for his team, Washington should have no problem walking away with a victory in this one.
