VIDEO: Somerset Patriots Pitcher Tosses Perfect Game But Team Loses in Extra Innings
By Karl Rasmussen

A Somerset Patriots pitcher was robbed of a perfect game, but not by a base hit. Rick Teasley retired all 27 batters he faced throughout the first nine innings of the game. The only problem? His team couldn't muster up a single run.

The Pats were forced into extra innings against the Long Island Ducks, and because more than nine innings were played, Teasley was stripped of his perfect game bid.
What's cool about this was that Teasley was able to fire his own final out to second base, having fielded a grounder at the mound.

Despite his best efforts, the Ducks were able to prevail in 10 innings, and his marvelous pitching performance won't be recognized for all that it was.
Teasley struck out seven batters on the evening before the bullpen took over and surrendered a run in the extra frames, giving Tyler Cloyd the loss.
