Jalen Hurts' debut as the quarterback of the Oklahoma Sooners went as good as it could have, totaling 508 yards (176 rushing yards) and six touchdowns. To put Oklahoma's dynamic offense into perspective, take a look at this clip of their fake triple option that led to a huge Hurts run:

The Sooner offense had blockers on the left side of the line, as Hurts moved the defense to the opposite side with his initial fake handoff, so he could've pitched it or even given the running back the ball on the counter.

Instead, Hurts kept the ball (like the gifted runner he is) and set up a 1st and Goal with the huge run.

Basically, Hurts had several options to carve up the opposing defense, and you can bet this Sooners offense will have these built-in options throughout the season, making them almost impossible to stop.

Especially, if defenses in the Big 12 continue to be putrid.
