You learn something new every day. On Sunday, to the dismay of Saints fans, many likely learned for the first time that pass interference cannot be called on punt plays, which happened to absolutely screw New Orleans. Sean Payton called for a fake punt pass and it's clear Tre'Quan Smith was absolutely mauled.

I mean, come on.

You may remember that the Saints were screwed over by a certain no-call in the postseason last year. Although the league rules state that pass interference cannot be called on a punt play, this coverage was so egregiously illegal that Saints fans will no doubt call for a review of this one and yet another NFL rule change.

If they lose because of this call, we will certainly be hearing about it as Pass Interference Gate Part II.
