VIDEO: Robinson Cano Slugs 3 Home Runs Against the Padres at Citi Field

Robinson Cano's season has been largely disappointing, but at least for the night, he decided to put his struggles behind him. The New York Mets second baseman slugged not one, not two, but THREE home runs against the Padres in an offensive explosion at Citi Field. He got things started with a go-ahead, second-deck blast off of Chris Paddack in the fourth inning.

Then, in the sixth inning, he sent another one of Paddack's offerings into the bleachers, extending the team's lead to 3-0.

And finally, just to stay in shape, Cano sent still another two-run blast high and deep down the line to give him five runs batted on on the night and his first career three home run game.

2019 still seems to be a season to forget for Cano and the Mets, but just this once, he gave the fans a glimpse of what he can really do.
