VIDEO: Remembering Ezekiel Elliott's 85-Yard Run to Seal Win Over Alabama in CFP on His Birthday

One of the best running backs in the NFL today and forever an immortal in Columbus, former Ohio State back and current Dallas Cowboy Ezekiel Elliott turns 24 today. On his birthday, let's fire up the Wayback Machine and throw it back to 2015, when a fourth-seeded Ohio State faced a No. 1 Alabama team that was led by Amari Cooper, Derrick Henry and TJ Yeldon. Ahead by six late in the fourth, Zeke busted through Nick Saban's defense like no one had ever done before, scampering 85 yards to the house to put this game on ice.

In the game after this, Urban Meyer would win the inaugural College Football Playoff when he beat Marcus Mariota and Oregon.

Elliott finished the game with 230 yards rushing and two touchdowns, while quarterback Cardale Jones threw for 235 yards and a touchdown. The Buckeye defense picked off quarterback Blake Sims three times.

It's safe to say Zeke's prolific college career, which featured back-to-back 1,800-yard seasons and 41 touchdowns in his last two seasons, has translated to the NFL.

Even if Elliott never plays another down in the NFL, he'll remain a legend at Ohio State for his heroics in their National Championship season.
