VIDEO: Reds' Eugenio Suarez Grabs Mic After Hitting HR and Gives Shoutout to TV Announcer

Whenever a player smacks a home run in the MLB, they usually just cruise around the bases high-fiving coaches en route to a celebration in the dugout. But after Cincinnati Reds infielder Eugenio Suarez hit a solo shot in the first inning, he had different plans. Upon getting back to his dugout, he decided to get on the mic and give a shoutout to Fox Sports Cincinnati announcer Jim Day.

"That was for you, Jim Day. I hope that makes your day, Jim Day." That's some good stuff out of Suarez there, with his bleach blonde hair and all.

With that homer, Suarez now has 23 dingers on the season, 11 shy of his career high of 34 last season. If the Reds want to have any chance at making a late season run at the playoffs, they're going to need Suarez to continue his stellar season.
