The Tampa Bay Rays have been known to try some whacky things with their pitchers, but it seems like they might be teaching them how to throw some extremely outlandish pitches. Case in point would be Oliver Drake, a Rays reliever who threw what is by far and away the nastiest pitch of the MLB season.

I mean seriously, is there even a name for this thing, because "screwball" doesn't quite do it justice. How does he even throw it? He literally threw a left-handed slider with his right hand. It makes no sense. And it's totally mesmerizing.

Hopefully Drake continues to throw more of these physics-defying pitches as the season continues, because this was downright absurd.
