VIDEO: Rangers' Lias Andersson Trips and Falls on the Ice During Player Introductions
By Chris Pyo

Tonight was opening night for the New York Rangers, who are looking to make it back to the playoffs for the first time in two years. Let's just say that things didn't get off to the smoothest of starts at Madison Square Garden for forward Lias Andersson, who took a bit of a tumble during player introductions after tripping on what appeared to be a camera wire.

That's not the best look for Andersson as a hockey player. Rangers fans were probably hoping that he could at least make it through player introductions with a clean skate, but that definitely wasn't the case.
Andersson was drafted No. 7 overall by the Rangers back in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, and has been making steady progress in his NHL career, finally making the Rangers' opening night roster after two years of shuttling up and down between the NHL and AHL.
Man oh, man. You gotta feel for Lias Andersson. Struggles in Year 1 and trips over the wire to begin Year 2.

A sign that he's ready to dominate? Perhaps. #NYR pic.twitter.com/zWO084z2sv
If Andersson wants to stick around and contribute for head coach David Quinn for the duration of this season, he might want to watch out for any trip wires in the future.
