Boston Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers has quickly become one of the more productive hitters in the American League, and to prove his point, he took one of the top starters deep to give his team a lead. Take a look at this missile to center field against none other than Houston ace Justin Verlander:

The roof didn't keep that one from leaving the yard.

Devers now has 7 homers on the season to go along with 30 RBI. Coming into the game, he was slugging an awesome .742 over his last seven games, and after that blast off JV, I'd say that number went up.

Of course, we shouldn't be surprised by this. Devers has a knack for hitting big flies off the very best, and now his only two career hits off Verlander are long balls. Go figure.
