VIDEO: Purdue Punter May Have Just Booted the Worst Kick We Have Ever Seen
By Evan Wolff

This was not great for the brand. Minutes after the Illinois punter sent a DIME inside the five yard line, the pressure was on Purdue punter Danny Carollo to flip field position for his own team. With the rain and wind swirling in this Big Ten matchup, anything could happen in these conditions. What happened next can only be described as comical, and borderline disastrous:

After almost dropping the snap, the punter nearly missed his own foot (which is kind of important when attempting a punt). Luckily, there was some form of contact made, and the play ended up being a 15-yarder.
In fairness, the entire Purdue team is struggling right now, with the offense only averaging 2.3 yards per play at the time of this writing. Not exactly a recipe for success against an Illinois team fresh from beating Wisconsin last week.
It should be noted that Danny Carollo is a fourth-string quarterback, and has actually punted well before, including placing a punt inside the five against Nevada at the beginning of the year.
Holder and Deep Reserve QB Danny Carollo drops a dime of a punt to the Nevada 1 yard line.... WHAT!?

I don't think this punt will be going on his highlight reel, though. Much like a lot of Purdue's season.
