VIDEO: Pat McAfee Continues to Be the ESPN Commentary MVP With Comical Pirate Metaphor
By Chris Pyo

Pat McAfee's career as a college football commentator for ESPN might just be getting off the ground, but he's already proved to be a comedic highlight machine even when the games themselves don't feature the nation's biggest and best schools. As an analyst on the Worldwide Leader's Thursday night broadcast team for Temple vs. East Carolina, the former NFL punter continued to prove just how one-of-a-kind hilarious he can be.

That pirate booty, folks. It's the thing we neve knew we wanted.
As smooth as that metaphor was, his delivery was even more on-point. Inserting that caliber of a joke while in the middle of play-by-play analysis without skipping a beat shows that ESPN made the right decision in hiring McAfee.
Aside from his work on ESPN, McAfee also has his own daily two-hour podcast on DAZN and Westwood One. Each one is filled with golden McAfee comedic nuggets.
Just look at these tweets. McAfee is literally tweeting these out live as he's providing analysis for the game.

What an absolute legend. Sure, the NFL and the Indianapolis Colts miss his booming punts and highlights, but this is just as good (if not better).
