VIDEO: Ozzie Albies Slugs Solo Jack to Extend Braves' Lead in Washington

The Atlanta Braves got the better of Nationals ace Max Scherzer Friday evening in Washington, and Ozzie Albies decided to keep the good times rolling in the seventh inning against the Washington bullpen. With a 3-0 lead, the second baseman squared up against Tanner Rainey and tucked one just beyond the wall in right-center field.

Just like that, 4-0 to the NL East leaders.

After an All-Star season in 2018, Albies has been putting together another quality campaign, albiet relatively quietly. He entered the evening slashing .290/.349/.494, plus 15 stolen bases to boot, and if he can keep the power stroke going, he'll be a key asset in the Braves' upcoming playoff run.
