VIDEO: Mets' Jeff McNeil Tried to Run on Yankees' Gary Sanchez and Failed Miserably

The New York Mets' season has been in a downward spiral as of late as they've lost six of their last seven. The team just can't seem to get back on track. In a two-game set with their crosstown rival Yankees, it doesn't appear the Mets' hardships are going to go away anytime soon. With the Yankees having one of the best catchers in the business in Gary Sanchez, it's silly to even try to steal bases against him. But, in typical Mets fashion, they tried to anyway.

We can only imagine what Mets fans are thinking as their team continues to skid, and this play certainly won't make it any better. Sanchez has a laser for an arm and it was on full display with that throw to second.
They'll need extra-base hits and home runs if they want to win against the Yanks.
