Max Kellerman's seasons-long quest to discredit the New England Patriots took another turn on Thursday, as the "First Take" analyst tried to smear the Hall of Fame career of one Tom Brady. When referencing Bill Belichick's greatness without Brady, Kellerman wrongly suggested the Patriots went to the playoffs in the now-67-year-old's first season at the helm. This wasn't the case, as pointed out by Damien Woody, who was actually on said team.

Ah, 2000. Just a year before the Patriots would begin their football dynasty and stomp on every other team's dreams for the next 18 years.

Kellerman quickly altered his stat, but the error nonetheless stuck. His argument couldn't be taken seriously without the basic expectations of facts.

Kellerman constantly discusses a premature end to the Patriots dynasty. It's a classic example of wishful thinking, as most NFL fans would love for New England to finally regress to the mean. But we we well know, the Patriots' winning ways aren't over while Brady and Belichick still have a say.
