Well, that's one way to kill the mood at a party. As Pep Guardiola's Manchester City squad was celebrating not only a second consecutive Premier League triumph, but a domestic treble that included an FA Cup and Carabao Cup win, one City member dropped the Premier League trophy off of a balcony, causing it to shatter into a million pieces.
Finding the culprit has proven to be tricky, although striker Sergio Agüero's guilty look when the camera turns towards him could be a potential clue.
As if Liverpool fans didn't feel bad enough after piling up the third most points in a single Premier League season while losing only once, they had to witness this atrocity for falling short. Man City don't even care about the trophy enough to keep it in one piece.
Given how much money Sheikh Mansour and Khaldoon Al Mubarak are pumping into City, and how top-heavy the Premier League is becoming, Pep's men will likely be able to get another one next year. What a luxury.
