VIDEO: Manchester City Blitzes Poor Watford and Scores 5 Goals in 18 Minutes Like Freaking Maniacs
By Jerry Trotta

Fresh off an embarrassing loss to injury-depleted Norwich City last weekend, Manchester City were likely motivated to come out firing against Watford on Saturday in order to keep place with first place Liverpool, whom they trailed by five points entering Match Day 6. Well, to say that Pep Guardiola had his side running rampant against the Hornets wouldn't even begin to describe their performance as they netted FIVE times within the opening 20 minutes. David Silva got the party started by finishing off a delicious cross by Kevin De Bruyne.

A fully healthy KDB is truly a spectacle to behold. The Belgian midfielder quite literally laid it on a platter for the Spaniard.
Roughly five minutes later, Watford goalkeeper Ben Foster foolishly conceded a useless penalty by taking out Riyad Mahrez on a through ball in the box. Sergio Aguero subsequently converted from the spot in typical Kun fashion: ruthless and composed.

Inside the 12-minute Mahrez drew a free kick just outside of the penalty area and ultimately went on to finish a move he started, albeit with a little bit of luck from a Watford deflection.

Fast forward less than three minutes later, and Bernardo Silva got on the end of a De Bruyne corner that was cleverly flicked on by Nicolás Otamendi.

And finally, the Citizens caught a sleeping Watford defense with a David Silva through ball off a free kick to Aguero, who played an inviting cross to Otamendi who made no mistake about finishing into an open net.
Just like that it was 5-0 in favor of the two-time defending Premier League Champs inside 18 minutes.

Did we mention City are doing this with a healthy Raheem Sterling resting on the bench?
Somebody throw the damn towel!
