VIDEO: Kris Bryant Provides Relieving Injury Update for Cubs Fans

Chicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant left Wednesday's game against the San Francisco Giants with a knee injury. Of course, there's major concern since he's the team's hottest hitter and franchise cornerstone, but Bryant assured everyone the issue is no big deal.

After an injury-filled year in 2018, Bryant has returned to his MVP form. He's hitting .299 with 21 home runs and 30 doubles, he was also an All-Star for the first time since 2016.

And he's hitting .500 with RISP
No misprints
During his final at-bat in the fifth, Bryant was visibly uncomfortable. After his at-bat, Cubs manager Joe Maddon, decided it was best to pull his star third baseman from the game.
Kris Bryant said he got his cleat caught in the turf taking indoor batting practice before the game and tweaked his knee which has been bugging him. Says he'll be in there Friday.

The Cubs also lost Anthony Rizzo in the fifth inning too, but not to an injury. Rizzo was tossed after arguing balls and strikes, which left the Cubs without two of their best hitters.
Thankfully the Cubs will have an off day to allow Bryant to recover. Should he need extra time, David Bote will likely take over Bryant's spot at third base.
